Jeremy Swenson started Snowmen Snow and Ice Management Services from the ground up and over a seven year period grew Snowmen from a small snow and ice management company to the largest snow and ice management company in the Kansas City area, and one of the largest in the United States. Jeremy has overseen over 15,000 acres of parking lot pavement and over 35,000 square feet of sidewalk pavement during winter snow and ice storms.
Jeremy Swenson has undergone extensive testing to become a Certified Snow Professional or CSP. This designation is considered the gold standard for individuals who value professionalism and excellence in the snow and ice industry. Jeremy maintains active membership in SIMA, the Snow & Ice Management Association. Jeremy spends time in the offseason with continuing education provided by SIMA to keep current with industry trends and snow removal practices.
Other professional associations that Jeremy has been involved with is BOMA, the Building Owners and Managers Association, IFMA, the International Facility Management Association, and IREM, the Institute Of Real Estate Management. Jeremy has worked with these associations, helping to stay current on the snow and ice removal needs of Building Owners and Property Managers.
Jeremy has been working with legal professionals for the last 14 years providing consulting services and deposition services. Jeremy has worked directly or been involved with hundreds of accidents or incidents regarding snow and ice slip and falls.
The Accredited Snow Contractors Association (ASCA) is a trade association dedicated to advancing the needs of the snow and ice management industry. ASCA members are snow and ice management businesses, suppliers of snow and ice equipment, subcontractors performing snow and ice services, and others allied to the field.
The group is a trade association with the purpose of advancing the professional snow and ice management industry and to promote its role in performing high-risk services to society.
The Certified Snow Professional (CSP) certification is the recognized standard for professionalism and excellence in the snow and ice management industry.
A Certified Snow Professional is:

- Resourceful: Aligned with industry best practices and highly experienced.
There are only 200 Certified Snow Professionals or so in the whole country as of 2010.
Snow & Ice Management Association – SIMA
The Snow & Ice Management Association represents over 1300 members in the US and Canada. Established in 1996, the non-profit trade association for the snow industry delivers training, events, certification, and advocacy related to quality snow and ice management. Building Owners and Managers Association – BOMA
Members of BOMA Kansas City are automatically members of BOMA International, and have the national groups entire range of information, representation and educational services available to them. BOMA Kansas City also works with the Building Owners and Managers Institute (BOMI) in Arnold, Maryland, to bring the groups professional educational services to the Kansas City area.
International Facility Management Association – IFMA
The International Facility Management Association is a growing, fast-paced organization whose purpose is to strengthen and advance the knowledge base essential to leading the integration and optimization of the built environment worldwide.
